The Pickleball group is up and running, quite literally! In the summer we play outdoors in the MUGA (multi-user games area) at Sport in Desford (SiD) which means we’re away from the main activity area and even have our own car park. In the winter we move indoors and play at Enderby Leisure Centre. The court is quite a lot smaller than a tennis court and is identical to a badminton court, although we play over a tennis size net (minus 2 inches in the middle). The ball is hollow plastic with holes. The bats (correct name, paddles) are like large table tennis bats. It’s great fun and a great way to keep moving around.
